Frutiger: A life's work is a self-directed editorial design project that celebrates and pays homage to the life and work of Adrian Frutiger, a renowned Swiss typeface designer who influenced the direction of type design in the second half of the 20th century.

The main challenge encountered was experimenting with type, grid and proportions, while trying to grasp and reproduce Frutiger's creative thought process.
The solution was using different techniques, materials and medias like Frutiger did. Exploring the geometric shapes through layering techniques, sketching, acrylic ink, laser cut and high quality finishes: Japanese book binding and G.F. Smith textured paper.
Blue being the international colour for communication and intelligence, I have pushed the concept further and placed high contrast splashes of blue throughout the publication.
